DISTURBING the PEACE

1 John 4:1

King James Version

4 Beloved, believe not every spirit,

but try the spirits whether they are of God:

because many false prophets are gone out

into the world.

Cats are sensitive creatures.

We jump at the slightest scare.

And boy, did we have quite a scare.

When we heard that cackle.

Which raised our hackles.

Will she be president?

Will she rule the world?

Most days we don't understand her.

Babbling of some sort.

We keep trying to figure it out.

Making sense of her words.

But so, far, no success.

On our part, at least.

Even her "guru" remains baffled.

We try not to joke about it.

But really, it's downright cruel.

Playing tricks on our poor minds.

Forcing us to understand all that babble.

Which leave us in a bubble.

And that grating cackle.

That's enough to make us scoot.

And seek shelter somewhere.

I perceive we shall have nightmares.

What will happen to our world now?

What will happen to her country?

What will happen to her people?

Will her country be a joke?

Will our world fall apart?

We felines shall leave it all in GOD's hand.

He will protect us from her.

And those putting her in power.

Maybe she won't have us change our genders.

Maybe she won't have us abort our kittens.

She better not.

Or it's gonna be a real cat fight.

Many, many moons ago, we had a disturbing dream.

We dreamt "trouble" from a frightening woman.

And another woman who supports her.

They didn't feel "human".

Maybe this is the fulfillment of that dream.

Only GOD can tell.

Sure, this politician has beauty.

It's just that cackle.

And all that babbling.

We're also getting a feeling of something else.

Something that emanates from her, as she speaks.

Disdain.

Superiority.

Vengeful sort of character.

Confident in her looks.

Confident in the money thrown her way.

Apostle Paul did warn us of the last days:

2 Timothy 3:1-7

King James Version

3 This know also,

that in the last days

perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves,

covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,

disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection,

trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,

despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded,

lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness,

but denying the power thereof:

from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses,

and lead captive silly women laden with sins,

led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning,

and never able to come

to the knowledge of the truth.

May it not be a CAT-astrophe.

May we all not turn CAT-atonic.

Methinks we cats need to board our CAT-amaran.

And CAT-apult.

Head for CAT-alina island.

Far away from it all.

Where we could not hear that cackle.

NOTE:

We don't really know who influences Harris.

But the satirical video above seemed fitting.

And so very spot on.

Why UNBELIEVERS won't be able to FIGURE things out

The LORD JESUS said:

John 16:33

King James Version

33 These things I have spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace.

In the world ye shall have tribulation:

but be of good cheer;

I have overcome the world.

Face it.

The world's too topsy-turvy.

Can give you scurvy.

I watch news video every day.

Just to see what's happening in the world.

One reporter sighed.

Can't seem to figure out the world.

Then, she mentioned about churches.

How they always ask you to repent.

She'd much rather comb the news.

And try to figure it out on her own.

I knew then, she was not a believer.

Thank GOD I'm a cat.

We're pretty simple.

Feed, cuddle, leave alone.

That's what we ask of humans.

But humans need so much more reassurance.

Forgetting they caused all the problems in the first place.

And they wonder why nothing makes sense.

They're basically stumped.

Couldn't figure out the world.

What they don't know is I'm a CHRISTIAN cat.

Yup, a full-blooded CHRISTIAN cat.

I know a thing.

Or two.

That's why I'm pretty peaceful.

Trusting in the LORD completely.

Look what JESUS said, about not being able to perform miracles in His own country:

Matthew 13:58

King James Version

58 And he did not many mighty works there

because of their unbelief.

One of the stories I love from the Bible, is when apostles couldn't cast out a devil:

Matthew 17:14-20

King James Version

14 And when they were come to the multitude,

there came to him a certain man,

kneeling down to him,

and saying,

15 Lord,

have mercy on my son:

for he is lunatick,

and sore vexed:

for ofttimes he falleth into the fire,

and oft into the water.

16 And I brought him to thy disciples,

and they could not cure him.

17 Then Jesus answered and said,

O faithless and perverse generation,

how long shall I be with you?

how long shall I suffer you?

bring him hither to me.

18 And Jesus rebuked the devil;

and he departed out of him:

and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart,

and said,

Why could not we cast him out?

20 And Jesus said unto them,

Because of your unbelief:

for verily I say unto you,

If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed,

ye shall say unto this mountain,

Remove hence to yonder place;

and it shall remove;

and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

It's that UNBELIEF thing.

Causes all the problems.

And yet, all we have to do, is believe in the LORD JESUS.

Acts 16:31

King James Version

31 And they said,

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,

and thou shalt be saved,

and thy house.

We are to trust in GOD alone.

Psalm 118:8

King James Version

8 It is better to trust in the Lord

than to put confidence in man.

Psalm 146:3-5

King James Version

3 Put not your trust in princes,

nor in the son of man,

in whom there is no help.

4 His breath goeth forth,

he returneth to his earth;

in that very day his thoughts perish.

5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,

whose hope is in the Lord his God:

Micah 7:7

King James Version

7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord;

I will wait for the God of my salvation:

my God will hear me.

For me and my small cat community, we BELIEVE in JESUS.

We eagerly await the time we'll meet Him up in the air.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

King James Version

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven

with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Who needs nine lives, when you have JESUS for eternal life?

Thus said, we continue to live by Scripture.

Sitting happily at JESUS' feet.

Listening to His WORD.

Waffles and water can wait.

GOD has GREAT humor

God is funny,

because we are funny.

The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD teaches us perfectly.

In a way best suited to our character.

Here's how He taught me today.

Starting with a verse:

Matthew 16:4

King James Version

4 A wicked and adulterous generation

seeketh after a sign;

and there shall no sign be given unto it

but the sign of the prophet Jonas

And he left them,

and departed.

Wherein, one thing stuck out:

"...and there shall no sign be given unto it,

but the sign of the prophet Jonas."

Curious, I looked at Jonah's chapter.

And laughed, and laughed, and laughed.

For he was a reluctant prophet.

And God would have none of such nonsense.

He taught Jonah a lesson.

Here's the backgrounder.

God appoints Jonah:

Jonah 1:1-2

King James Version

1 Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah

the son of Amittai, saying,

2 Arise,

go to Nineveh,

that great city,

and cry against it;

for their wickedness is come up before me.

But Jonah panicked:

Jonah 1:3

King James Version

3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish

from the presence of the Lord

and went down to Joppa;

and he found a ship going to Tarshish:

so he paid the fare thereof,

and went down into it,

to go with them unto Tarshish

from the presence of the Lord.

So, God does something else.

Jonah 1:4

King James Version

4 But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea,

and there was a mighty tempest in the sea

so that the ship was like to be broken.

And the shipmaster wonders who was responsible.

Jonah 1:7

King James Version

7 And they said every one to his fellow,

Come, and let us cast lots,

that we may know

for whose cause this evil is upon us

So they cast lots,

and the lot fell upon Jonah.

The whole ship resolves the matter.

Jonah 1:11-12

King James Version

11 Then said they unto him

What shall we do unto thee,

that the sea may be calm unto us

for the sea wrought,

and was tempestuous.

12 And he said unto them

Take me up,

and cast me forth into the sea;

so shall the sea be calm unto you

for I know that for my sake

this great tempest is upon you.

Surely, the shipmates couldn't wait to get him off board fast -- in great relief.

Jonah 1:15

King James Version

15 So they took up Jonah,

and cast him forth into the sea

and the sea ceased from her raging.

Of course, God knew Jonah needed time to think.

Jonah 1:17

King James Version

17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish

to swallow up Jonah.

And Jonah was in the belly of the fish

three days and three nights.

Jonah realizes he's done God wrong.

Jonah 2:1

King James Version

2 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God

out of the fish's belly,

So he affirms his vow with God.

Jonah 2:9

King James Version

9 But I will sacrifice unto thee

with the voice of thanksgiving

I will pay that that I have vowed

Salvation is of the Lord.

God takes mercy upon Jonah.

Jonah 2:10

King James Version

10 And the Lord spake unto the fish,

and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

By now, Jonah's a mess.

And if you think that's the end of the story, there's more:

Jonah 1

Jonah 2

Jonah 3

Jonah 4

Are you called to God's service?

Have you resisted?

Don't.

Bad idea.

When God sets His mind on you, that's it.

No escaping the inevitable.

I have my own little story to tell.

Maybe in another blog.
